Build the Practice That Fits You
A 5-Week Coaching Program for Therapists Who Want More Clients Without Burning Out
If You’re Feeling Stuck, Tired, or Quietly Questioning Things — You’re Not Alone
Many therapists were never taught how to build a practice that actually fits who they are.
Instead, we’re handed:
Directories that turn us into profiles
Platforms that reward constant visibility
Insurance systems that change the rules without warning
Advice that tells us to “just niche down” or “post more”
Over time, it can start to feel like you’re working for the system instead of the system working for you.
This program exists for therapists who want another way.
You don’t need to become someone else.
You don’t need to push harder.
You need alignment, clarity, and support.
What This Program Is — and Isn’t
Build a Practice That Fits You is not:
A marketing bootcamp
A content hustle
A “become an influencer” program
It is:
A grounded, human approach to building visibility
A way to clarify who you’re meant to work with
A process for attracting clients without burning out
A chance to reconnect with why you chose this work in the first place

He is the founder of Resilience and Recovery Group, a thriving group practice in Massachusetts, and has built a global professional brand rooted in thoughtful, human-centered storytelling.

He also hosted an internet radio show on Empower Radio for nearly a decade, where he explored themes of mental health, work, identity, and meaning with a wide-ranging audience.
Doug holds a Master of Social Work and has taught at institutions including Westfield State University and Springfield College. His original stage plays have been produced in regional theaters, reflecting his lifelong commitment to story as a tool for connection and transformation. In his coaching, Doug helps therapists stay human in an increasingly commodified field—using story not as marketing, but as a way to build practices that truly fit.
